What is Solar Energy?
Solar energy is the light and heat that comes from the sun and gets converted to electricity using photovoltaic cells. The electric power is then used to light up our homes, streets, businesses and power our machines as well.
The sunlight is the dominant source of energy received by Earth, and it is functionally endless. This solar energy harnessing by the solar installation could render fossil fuels obsolete. Nowadays, solar energy has become very popular as a renewable energy source because of its inexhaustible supply and its non-polluting character with no greenhouse gases in contrast to the finite fossil fuels. Solar energy reduces energy bills, saves money in the long run, and it does not harm the environment. The solar companies harnessed the sun’s rays to power the whole house, and sell the excess power back to the grid. Batteries are used to store excess solar energy to be used at night.
